Honestly I don’t know how the CEO sleeps at night. This is supposed to be a thrift store?? This is the most outrageous and overpriced store I have ever seen. Looking at kids clothes, one 3t tank top 7.99. Matching shorts 6.99. It was obviously a matching set, priced individually for an outrageous amount. If you want to price each item individually for $1.99 or so that’s fine, but this? Absolutely not. Skip this place at all costs unless you want to buy secondhand items for more than they were originally worth. Employees were kind. I know it’s not their fault this store is so overpriced but I really excepted more from a faith based thrift store. Charging this much for kids clothes and toys is insane, especially while clinging on to their faith based mission.

I was really disappointed with my recent visit to KARM Stores. They still don’t have fitting rooms available, which makes shopping for clothes unnecessarily difficult. Out of desperation, I tried to use the bathroom to try something on, but was quickly told I couldn’t bring merchandise in there. To be fair, there was a sign on the door, and I ignored it, so that part is on me. The bigger issue is their return policy. They only offer a 7-day return window, and instead of giving you your money back if something doesn’t fit, they only issue store credit—and you’re required to use that credit at the same store. This feels really unfair. For example, you could spend $200 on clothes, only end up keeping one shirt, and then be forced to spend the remaining $150–$180 at that store, even if you wouldn’t have chosen to shop there again. To me, this comes across as a “gotcha” policy that benefits the store at the customer’s expense. It doesn’t encourage trust or repeat business, and I think in the long run it will hurt them. Until they improve both their fitting room situation and their return policy, I won’t be shopping there again.

I am so glad KARM opened this new location off Kingston Pike! The store is bright, clean, and easy to shop. Everything is organized really well, so it’s not overwhelming like some thrift stores can be. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and you can tell they care about both the shoppers and the mission behind KARM. I found some great deals on clothing and home décor, and the prices were very reasonable. The store feels spacious and inviting, and it’s in a super convenient location right near West Town Mall, with plenty of parking. What I also love is knowing that my purchases and donations support a local cause and helping people in our community get back on their feet. It makes shopping here feel even more meaningful. This is definitely going to be one of my go-to thrift stops in Knoxville. Highly recommend checking it out!

I've gone weekly for the past few weeks and love adding it to my errands list. Clean store, nice people, and lots of great selections! Edited my review to say Alanna and volunteer Kathy are awesome!!

Extremely overpriced items that are freely donated to them! Will not shop at another Karm
