Target Optical

Everyone at Target Optical was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. Since I had never ordered contact lenses before, I had a lot of questions, and Angela at the front desk couldn’t have been more helpful. She took the time to explain my insurance coverage, walk me through my contact lens options, and break down the pricing for each choice. I spent about an hour discussing all the different options with her, and she was patient, knowledgeable, and never made me feel rushed. Dr. Huang was just as wonderful. She was friendly, caring, and thorough throughout my appointment. The entire staff made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel easy and comfortable. I’ve never been to an eye care office where everyone was so genuinely warm and helpful. I highly recommend Target Optical to anyone looking for exceptional customer service and care.

I had a wonderful experience at the Target Optical at Adams & Brookhurst! HELEN HUANG OD was an excellent eye doctor and lots of fun to work with! The staff was kind, efficient and helpful!

Terrible customer service! On 07/08/2024 I ordered contact lenses and eyeglasses, the first girl was nice and I made my purchase with her, but the second girl that answered the phone today on the 07/30/2024 (long hair lady) she was making lie after lie when I called to see if my glasses were ready. First she said that they never notified me because they never do, then she said that the glases arrived at the store since the 20th, (yet they never notified me). Then just when I arrived for pickup at the store she finally sended me a text saying that the glasses finally arrived, haha okey perfect timing! (5min earlier she said that they don't notified through text). Then when I showed the text messages on my phone to prove that, she saw that I had only 1 text from the 11th (just 3 days after the purchase) saying that the contacts arrived. She said that the text on the 11th was the notice for the eyeglasses, so 5 min earlier on the phone she said the 20th, now she says the 11th, (haha so this means It took only 3 days to make custom eyeglasses according to her, instead of 2 weeks). Unnecessary lies, terrible attitude and very unprofessional.

First let me say that the optometrist is is great. She's patient, she's thorough, and she's professional. The customer service issues start when you talk to the receptionist. I bought two pairs of glasses there one regular and one sunglasses. I called several times to check on the status of the sunglasses and got different answers every time I called. Even when I showed the girl at the desk the texts that I had received she made up all kinds of stories about what they meant. She is belittling and arrogant. After I received my regular glasses I noticed when cleaning them that they creaked. So last week I took them in and showed them to the receptionist, and she said that was normal and it's just the way the lenses are sitting in the frames. I showed her that my sunglasses that were in the same model frames didn't do that. I asked to have the optometrist look at them and she said no she doesn't put them together so she wouldn't know. I don't think the receptionist is a technician either and yet she came up with some ridiculous answers. Bottom line I was just blown off as if I were making something up. My suggestion is to keep the optometrist because she's fantastic and hire a receptionist who cares about the client. A lot of businesses use the mantra that the client is always right. I think this receptionist would argue with that.

My experience with Target Optical was great from start to finish. From the moment I called to make an appointment, Angela the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. My Optometrist Helen was also very knowledgeable and friendly. She took the time to make sure that I was comfortable with my prescription and also gave me several options for contacts. Not only did I have a great experience but the pricing for the exams and the frames were much more reasonable than other places! I'll be coming back to Target for all of my Optical needs.
