Dr. Max is absolutely incredible! He's upbeat, personable, very thorough, explains your condition and his treatment plan. His staff is equally great and his new office is a very nice, welcoming space. I am extremely grateful that I was referred to him. He figured out what several other MD's didn't!! I could not be happier. Thank you Dr. Max & Converge Neuro Optometry!!

Dr Max is so caring, so knowledgeable and such a relationship-oriented doctor. I love the extreme attention to detail and CARE he brings to every one of his patient interactions. He is so thoughtful about specifically where I am at in recovering from my brain injury, and in recovering my impaired visual abilities, reading and visionstamina, and detailed functionality. I was new to the whole idea of "Vision therapy" and have benefitted greatly from the work we have done. I love his new team at CONVERGE neuro optometry in Tigard (Oregon/ SW Portland metro area) and I enjoy the peaceful space he's practicing in without the other difficult bright lights at other optometric places. He is great with young people, elders, and respectful and at ease with people of a broad range of backgrounds and beliefs. Highly recommend if your child is struggling to read well, has vision or seizure disorders, or if you have had a stroke, TBI, or other brain injury ~Melo D.B.
Dr. Max (Dr. Macson Lee) is amazing! He is an extremely kind, down-to-earth, thoughtful, and personable. He's been my eye doc for about 4 years. Converge Neuro is his new private practice. Dr. Max is very thorough and knowledgeable, and he cares!! He can do "standard care" or go above and beyond with his knowledge of neuro-optometry. If you struggle with vision related problems, or just think you might (have you had a concussion? are you sensitive to bright light? headaches? eyestrain? difficulty reading? etc...), check out his webpage and see if he might be a good fit for you! He won't give up on you and is always willing to dig deeper to help you, or refer you to appropriate resources if needed.
Dr. Max is super knowledgeable and the kids always think it is fun to go see him. We've done a lot of vision therapy and Dr. Max stays up on the latest research and knows just what we need to do (and what we're capable of implementing) at home. If you need an eye doctor I couldn't recommend him enough. He really gives his patients his full attention and actually cares. You never feel rushed out of the office. The staff is really kind and helpful as well.
Cannot recommend Converge Neuro Optometry enough! I’ve been seeing Dr Max for several years, both at his previous group practice and at Converge which is his personal practice he opened this year. He is one of the kindest, most empathetic medical practitioners I’ve met and also incredibly knowledgeable. He stays up to date on emerging optometry research, regularly going to conferences and conducting his own research. He specializes in TBI/ concussions and is skilled at treating kids and people with disabilities with attention to the specific needs related to these conditions. He can put just about anyone at ease, and often takes extra time with his patients to make sure they have their questions answered. His office staff are also very helpful and kind.
