Vision Center Of The South

I’ve had a really great experience at Vision Center of the South. Dr. Borne is honestly amazing, she’s super kind and always really patient, and she’s been my eye doctor since I was little so it feels like she’s basically seen me grow up. She always makes everything easy to understand and you never feel rushed in there. The guy at the front is also really cool and friendly, always welcoming when you walk in and just makes the place feel comfortable. Overall it’s just a really nice place and I always leave feeling like I was taken care of.

I came from out of town to visit New Orleans, didn't have glasses and only one pair of DISPOSABLE contacts that I had already thrown in trash. Glen and the Doctor tried all they could to help me and they successfully helped me, but the kindness they showed was unbelievable. They were patient, kind and very understanding after waiting over an hour for a fax from my dr office that never came. Thank you so much to both of you at Vision Center South for showing me such great hospitality, I'll never forget your kindness. Daphne from Virginia

The Dr was nice, very personal and efficient as a Dr...I was happy until I was presented the BILL...I was in shock at the price I was charged...I did not have insurance, so I was paying out of pocket...the bill presented to me was over twice as much as it should have been..I paid it because what was I going to do...a week later I picked up my contacts. I called 2 contact companies and discovered the 100 dollar box of contacts will only cost me 50 dollars per box from another company... I feel like I had been taken advantage of. I did discuss this w the Dr. And I will never forget this horrible money grabbing experience.

We lucked up and got an appointment here a few days ago and my daughter and I had a visit today. Dr. Borne and the gentleman at the front desk provided us with first class service. It is not often that doctors can reach both adults and children, but they both did impeccable. I recently was diagnosed with a condition that altered my perfect vision, needless to say that I have been struggling to deal with this change. Everything was explained to both my daughter and I and I felt a sense of relief after the appointment. Ample time was spent on both of us and Dr. Borne listened to me freak out about my vision changes and provided me with a sense of peace. Also a big plus was that Dr. Borne was patient and kind. She also provided me with cost effective options and informed me before my exam what my insurance actually covered. I appreciated this because it gave me time to choose how much I could actually afford for glasses. I appreciate that I didn't have to fill out 20 pages of documents before being seen. The office was really clean, they had natural sunlight and a nice displays of sunglasses. There was also ample off street parking as well. I feel lucky and confident that we have found our home base in optometry.

By FAR the best optometrist I’ve been to! She is very experienced, patient, knowledgeable and distinguished. The staff is AMAZING. They treat you like family as soon as you walk in the door. The service is VERY FAST! They quickly make the glasses you need! If you need an eye doctor this is the place to go!
