Excellent service! My husband and I needed new glasses and everyone, especially Korbin, was very helpful. After my husband decided upon his glasses, I was still struggling to find the right frames. Korbin took the time to help me find the perfect frame. Prices are comparable, if not better than other places. I highly recommend Visionworks in Great Lakes Mall.

Mariah was the BEST! Instead of saying that all of the frames looked good on me, she was very helpful in narrowing it down to a small selection. Then, she helped me a lot when I had problems with my insurance. I am a long time customer of Visionworks, and I plan to keep coming back.

UPDATE: Visionworks left a generic, automated corporate response to my review below (Please read my original review below) They didn't even have a real human read my story or address the predatory behavior of their local Mentor staff. I will not be emailing you privately to hide this. The truth stays right here for the public to see and if anyone reading this is on Medicaid insurance, know your rights, if you get your contacts fitted at this place or your glasses, you can take that prescription anywhere you would like to get them filled. You do not have to get them filled at visionworks." Original review... Deceptive and predatory billing practices. I am a Medicaid patient on disability by no fault of my own, and Visionworks tried to pull a blatant sales scam on me. My insurance covers my entire eye exam and breaks down the remaining benefit into two distinct pools: they pay $50 toward my clinical fitting for contacts (and I pay the rest), and they pay a separate $50 toward my contacts that I can purchase anywhere I choose. I do not have to purchase them at Visionworks. I can legally, by law, take that prescription somewhere else to get cheaper contact lenses. When I confronted them, the front desk pushed a false sales script, claiming "store policy" allowed them to bill the entire $100 package and wipe out my remaining $50 credit through my insurance for contacts, forcing me to pay for them in full wherever I purchase them. I contacted my insurance company's corporate office, who explicitly confirmed that billing for materials a patient does not purchase is fraudulent. They treat people on state plans like we are pieces of crap who can be easily tricked. But I'm not on disability because I'm stupid—they tried to outsmart one tough, smart cookie of a lady, and I am deeply upset and exhausted after spending hours on the phone dealing with this mess. I canceled my appointment and took my business elsewhere. Do not trust them with your money or your care. Why would you want to go to a place that treats disabled people badly? I guarantee if I made $90,000 a year and had insurance through my employer, they would have handed me my prescription for my contact lenses to purchase anywhere else without even blinking an eye! I do product reviews and believe me when I say I do an awful lot of them on social media and I don't usually do reviews on companies but this time I'm going to make an exception. And It is truly unfortunate how I was treated by the staff at this location. I originally chose to book an appointment with Visionworks specifically because they had so many positive reviews, which makes it even more disappointing that they tried to pull this stunt on me.

I cannot recommend Visionworks at Great Lakes Mall highly enough. A few weeks ago, I lost my glasses, and despite searching everywhere, I simply could not find them. I was frustrated and honestly didn't know what to do. Today, I visited the Visionworks location at Great Lakes Mall, and once again they reminded me why I have trusted them for years. First, I want to recognize Dr. Abdulwahed Qotaynah. He is one of the most caring and professional doctors I have ever met. He takes the time to listen, explains everything clearly, and genuinely cares about his patients' vision and well-being. In my opinion, doctors like him are becoming increasingly rare. I also want to give special recognition to Korbin, the licensed optician who helped me today. My insurance had already been used to cover my previous glasses, so I expected there would be very little that could be done. Instead of simply giving me bad news, Korbin went above and beyond to find a solution. He made sure I could get a new pair of glasses, treated me with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion, and made me feel like I truly mattered as a customer. What impressed me most was that Korbin wasn't focused on making a sale—he was focused on helping someone in need. That level of customer service is incredibly rare today. I left feeling relieved, valued, and genuinely happy. It's comforting to know there are still people who care more about doing the right thing than simply making money. Everyone at this Visionworks location has always treated me with exceptional customer service. Every visit has been welcoming, professional, and efficient, and today's experience only reinforced why I continue coming back. If you're looking for outstanding eye care and customer service, I highly recommend Visionworks at Great Lakes Mall in Mentor, Ohio. Thank you to Dr. Abdulwahed Qotaynah, Korbin, and the entire staff for making such a stressful situation turn into an outstanding experience. You have earned my trust and my highest recommendation.

My first experience at Visionworks and I highly recommend it! I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and all associates were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Q was great! Very personable and makes you feel very comfortable. Explained everything yet still very efficient. Thanks for a great experience!!
