Dr. Cotter been my doctor for many years now and I genuinely feel cared for every time I visit his office. Dr. Cotter always take time to listen to my concerns and explains clearly. I love the girls that working with a Dr. Cotter in that office. They are very professional and super friendly. I am feeling confident about my eye health every time I leave the office. I'm so grateful to have a great eye doctor and found someone so knowledgeable. I highly recommend him to anyone, he is the best!!!

My granddaughter of 10 months old managed to scrape the cornea of my eye. The very next day I called the Vistar, which was Good Friday and got an appointment with their on-call doctor at 3:00 p.m. at the Roanoke office. I was anxious and wanted the Hollins because I could walk to it. The young lady on the phone whose name I can't remember was most helpful and entertaining. When I got to the office. The two girls at the desk were most helpful and made me feel at ease. As I am not a person that likes anything in my face for any reason, Dr. Casey didn't even have to be told that, he simply respected my personal space. He explained to me what he was going to do. He gave me options and was extremely sympathetic to the situation.. and his associate Morgan was an absolute joy. Even though it is a short distance, I have now, because of each of them, scheduled a regular exam in 2 weeks. I would highly recommend this office and these employees to any and all of my friends and family.

Sarah, Dr. Schoedel’s receptionist, is absolutely amazing! I recently called in with a problem, and she took the time to carefully go back through all the notes to help me find a solution. She not only resolved the issue, but also scheduled an appointment for me within the exact timeframe I needed. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine commitment to excellent customer service really stood out. Customer service is truly her strength, and I can’t thank her enough for going above and beyond! Another great visit! I had such a great experience with Kim Baker at Vistar during my recent eye doctor visit. Kim went above and beyond to accommodate me, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. She is incredibly pleasant, efficient, and quick to get things done. What stood out the most was how she made sure to work me in for my next appointment at a time that fit perfectly with my schedule—exactly what I was hoping for. Excellent customer service like this doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you, Kim—you’re truly amazing!

I had an appointment for the first time at Vistar in the 707 building and I must say that I was impressed. The staff was very friendly answered all my questions. The assistant helping Dr Casey that day was awesome and Dr Casey was has well. I did not feel rushed and Dr Casey explained everything regarding my ever changing eyes and vision. I purchased my glasses upstairs, I had a great experience there, I found at least for me it made more sense to get my glasses there then Sam's no more costly and better service.

I’ve been going to Vistar (Dr. Cotter) for 21 years for a myriad of eye problems. Without reservation, I can say that Dr. Cotter is the best!… He’s a skilled surgeon, and he’s very thorough & knowledgeable in his examinations. He keeps up with state-of-the-art developments and utilizes the latest high-tech equipment.
