My appointment was made extremely pleasant by the outstanding staff! Dr. Williamson was very compassionate to my issue. His patience in explaining his findings and reasoning of treatment being provided was very thorough. I do recommend Waco Vision Source if you haven’t already found them. I had a pleasant experience at WVS. It’s tucked away in an unassuming location, so I was pleasantly surprised to find such an impressive space. From the technology to the staff and thorough eye exam, everything was top-notch. They also have a great selection of glasses. I’m happy that Waco has a place like WVS. I highly recommend them and will definitely be sending people their way.

I returned after three years as a former long-term patient, even though I now live about an hour and a half away. The office is convenient and the staff are friendly, but I’m disappointed by their policy and communication around retinal imaging. I originally left because I was told the imaging was mandatory and not covered by my insurance. In the three years since, other providers I visited did not require this imaging or bill for it separately. Before this recent visit, I called three weeks in advance to confirm coverage and was told I’d be notified if it wasn’t covered. I never received a call. At my appointment, I was again told the imaging was mandatory regardless of insurance coverage, and not fully covered. I was also seen about 15 minutes after my scheduled time and later received a bill by mail for the imaging, despite having already paid a retinal imaging fee in person. I recommend confirming in advance what this office considers “mandatory” versus what insurance actually requires. Greater transparency and consistency would go a long way toward maintaining patient trust.

Everyone is always incredibly friendly and helpful! Dr. Virden has been very precise with making sure I'm comfortable in my scleral contact and her staff, just like her, go above and beyond with making sure everything is done correctly. I would recommend anyone to Waco Vision Source!

Great experience! The optometrist performed a thorough, comprehensive eye exam without the uncomfortable air-puff test and explained everything clearly. I received my prescription promptly, the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend for anyone needing efficient, professional eye care in Waco. They are also accommodating of children attending, which I appreciated!
