I wanted to rate this as a 00. I called to make an apt because it says on the website she accepts Medicaid. The lady on the line was so rude. I even called back to see if she accepted Ambetter insurance, which I also have. The woman who answers her phone, was so rude and abrupt. She said the "Dr is a private contractor who works for herself, not Wal Mart". Then continued, "She does not accept Medicaid or Ambetter". She will take cash however. She needs to have her business checked by the BBB on the account of lying on her website. I didn't ask about any other insurance because after being spoken down to. .. in such a manner, I would never go to her with any insurance much less cash. What's wrong with people? Poor people don't deserve vision? Give me a break. So. No stars. ZERO stars is my honest review for Walmart Vision & Glasses. Wal Mart should be ashamed to let her use their name on her business. 🙏

Worse experience ever. I set my appointment three weeks ago was insured they would accept my insurance on two separate occasions. Came in for my appointment today and have been sitting for 20 mins for them to pull my insurance information. Than was told it slipped through the cracks and I should have been called before. Now I’ve wasted valuable time and money to come here for my appointment. Worse experience. Waste of time and energy and I won’t ever be using them ever again. Finally they found my insurance. Worse experience ever.
I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at the Walmart vision center. I typically wouldn’t even think about going to a center like this because most doctors start here, get trained, then move on to “bigger and better” things. I was informed that Dr Weaver had been with the Walmart organization a long period of time so I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad that I did!! I have been seeing the same eye doctor since I was 14, and now I’m in my 50’s. Dr Weaver is very familiar with my prior doctor and she put my mind at ease. We just moved to Alabama, and if it hadn’t been for that, I would have never contemplated using another eye doctor. Dr Weaver is very knowledgeable, not only with vision issues but also other health issues as well. She gave me a list of reading material, and so far, I have learned lot from her suggested titles. I highly recommend Dr Weaver to anyone who is looking for a new eye doctor. You will not disappointed, I’m sure!
Horrible system. My autistic adult son and I came here for the first time to get an exam and glasses. The exam was wonderful. However, the nightmare began afterwards. They did not pull up my insurance info as I was previously told they did before the visit. It was a fiasco and I was there for hours, left and came back while they were tracking down my insurance info so that we could proceed with our purchase. After everything we as paid for, I received a call weeks later saying that I didn't pay the tax. I had my receipt but due to working, school, and family health issues, I didn't make it back to this place which is miles away for me. Well, my son received a bill. I called and the excuse was that I was under billed. I have never experienced this with any other vision center using my insurance. I paid it because my disabled son does not deserve a bad credit marking. Do not deal with this center. The system is horrible and a 45 minute visit may turn into half a day.
Great experience! Enjoyed meeting & learning from Dr. Weaver. Very pleasant & knowledge. Staff was sweet as well!
