Jamie at the vision center is very knowledgeable and took even a simple request for a straightening my existing glasses with care and professionalism. I am happy to recommend her work.

I read the earlier reviews prior to going to this store for optical services, but decided to go anyway and see if anything had changed, since most of the reviews were rather old. I'm happy to report I didn't see hide nor hair of the lady w/the red/purple hair. Everyone there seemed very friendly and competent. Dr. Erick did a thorough job on the eye exam, explaining everything he was doing as we progressed through the exam. There was a girl with multi-colored hair (blonde and pink) who was very good at customer service -- polite, friendly, and informative. The main person I worked with was Alex, and let me just say that guy deserves a big raise. I needed to use my insurance today as it was the last day I was going to have it. However when Alex went to run it through, the insurer's system was down. He went above and beyond, making multiple phone calls until he was able to get hold of a rep who could help him out. I definitely will be going back, and recommend this store to anyone who is looking quality service as well as a great pair of glasses.

Thank you, Jamie!!! I originally went to the Walmart in Windsor Heights and received multiple pairs of glasses that I couldn't see well out of, even after they retested my prescription. Unfortunately, they were less than professional when I returned with concerns, so I requested a refund and came to the Walmart in Ames for a second opinion. I was greeted by the kind optician, Jamie, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also quickly identified the issue: the previous location hadn’t measured my eyeline for the lenses. Jamie took the time to explain everything clearly and made the entire experience both professional and personable. I can see!

The Grand Ave Walmart Vision Center denied my insurance without calling to confirm my coverage. I went to the Cedar Falls store and bought 2 pair of glasses with my insurance! It was definitely worth the trip to go to the Cedar Falls location to receive excellent customer service. Do better Grand Ave.

My daughter found a new pair of frames here. First off, the price is very reasonable for attractive glasses and the turnaround time was super quick. I also appreciate the $20 warranty on the frames and lenses. My son had his glasses chewed up by the dog and this coverage plan replaced his glasses free of charge.
