Since I'm no longer going to this 'optomitrist' I can leave a review. Only reason I had chosen this office is because of my husband's insurance. First off, since Dr. Barker passed away, this place has went downhill. The absolute rudest staff I have ever EVER received at any eye doctor. Can't even answer simple questions without an attitude. My husband had an appointment and was going to try contacts. This 'doctor' dropped the lens on the floor and proceeded to place it in his eye. I was back there with him and of course I was too shocked to say anything. He hated the lenses anyways. I have been wearing contact lenses for 30 plus years and have never had any issues until this Barthalomew character examined my eyes. This 'doctor' is not hired by Wal-Mart, therefore is charging a "fitting fee" of fifty dollars! My last exam was in March and since then my vision is horrible and it is because this office likes to argue with their patients. Every employee has been nothing but rude and argumentative. Even verifying my script when ordering contacts is a joke. Since March, my vision is sitting here getting even worse and when I contacted them this rude associate had the audacity to ask me "well are you sure you want to come back?" Seriously? That man made mistakes, so yeah he is going to fix this! After careful consideration and distrust of the incompence of the individuals running the show at the Branson West office, I've changed my mind. After reading other reviews, I'm not the only one these women have been down right rude to. I was losing my voice and was told I was the one being rude. Ha! Whatever you have to tell yourselves. If you people were paid to be argumentative and downright nasty, you'd be rich! I can be just as rude, ladies and when you start treating me like I'm an idiot, well, you're in the wrong line of work. Where Wal-Mart Branson West finds these lower level quality customer service folks. Wal-Mart Vision in Ozark has an associate optometrist and no fitting fee. I will drive the one hour to a doctor I trust and associates that don't treat folks like total morons. I can argue all day long, ladies! Barthalomew and the staff at this office are a joke. Arguing with patients....WOW! You people really are something. Doctor Barker was the best and where you found this guy is beyond me.

I just had such a wonderful experience at this location. They were very kind and helpful from the beginning when we were scheduling my appointment. Very friendly and professional when I arrived for the appointment. The doctor was friendly and tried to make me more comfortable with gentle humor; he succeeded. I never felt pressured to order my contacts and/or glasses specifically through them, but because of my experience, I fully intend to come back to place my order (I left with a trial pair of contacts). Thank you specifically to Holli and Dr Barker for your kindness, knowledge, and professionalism.

Won’t go there again. With insurance charged me $40 for my glasses. Just got a bill from Walmart for $200 because they didn’t charge me for something on my prescription which they had.. That’s a Hugh difference. Gotta do better people!!!

Employee M didn’t know what she was doing and kept looking at me like I was crazy — not good with people or the job. Shiela was excellent. The optometrist was wacky but seemed very knowledgeable

My exam 2 years ago at the other place was $400+ for an exam and a pair of glasses. This place here has a nicer staff by far, 4x more selection, and cost 1/3 the price. A+ Edit: a year later and another very satisfying transaction, got a set of ray ban prescription sunglasses for 35% off, $140 is a great deal. These people have been great tondesl with too
