I recently had a disappointing experience at the Walmart Vision Center. Walmart was recommended and I came prepared with my prescription, ready to purchase new frames. While browsing, I was asked by an employee to leave the glasses I tried on at the counter. I explained that I was still exploring different styles and would likely be trying on multiple pairs. Shortly after, I was instructed to place any frames I touched into a basket instead. By the third pair, I felt increasingly uncomfortable and was again reminded to put anything I touched into the basket. Unfortunately, my experience at Walmart Vision Center was the opposite—overly restrictive and lacking in customer service. I then visited BJ’s Optical and had an outstanding experience. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and encouraged me to try on as many styles as I liked.

This was the best experience I've had during an eye exam. Dr. Walker was unbelievably kind and caring. I was really nervous about my appointment because I haven't been in years and she made me feel nothing but safe and comfortable. She figured out what was going on with my eyes and was able to correct my prescription. She's a doctor who genuinely cares about her patients and I only hope to experience more doctors like this in the future.
Dr. Walker by far is the best optometrist in town. My family and I have been patients of hers for years. Our prescriptions are always point on. Dr Walker, the manager Joann and the rest of the staff are all caring and offer great service. Don’t let the name “Walmart” throw you off, this vision center is Top Notch!
I called there to confirm appointment time for my daughter’s 230 pm appointment. The women who needs to lose her job. The telephone etiquette was absolutely disgusting. The employee who shall remain nameless since I have the name, talked over me multiple times and lied said she called me yesterday, I never once received a single phone call to confirm her appointment yet alone to give UPDATED insurance information. When trying to tell this women I’m not being argumentative, but she’s cuts me off talking again just asking did I want to keep the appointment and going on how I’m a liar and she called me. This employee is absolutely unprofessional and beyond disrespectful and giving the eye center a horrible name.
The Doctor is great and always nice. Very efficient and doesn't try to get you to buy extra stuff. Also, staff is good. Sometimes, they are short staffed and other times when you call their computer systems are slow, but I've been coming here a while and it's always a smooth process.
