I had a very frustrating experience getting progressive lenses from this office. I paid $450 for my glasses and now have gone through multiple remakes because the lenses were not made correctly for my needs in the first place. The first pair they made were designed for someone who works at a desk all day, this was THEIR mistake. They remade them, but then I couldn't see properly at mid-range distances. They tried again, and this time they made the prescription so strong that I couldn't wear them at all. After all these issues-NONE of which were my fault-they are now asking me to pay an additional $300 to "try again" with a different type of lens. That was their offer. That is completely unacceptable. I trusted their professional guidance, and instead got repeated mistakes and extra charges. I expected much better service, better communication, and accountability. I would never recommend this office. I now have a $450 pair of glasses I can throw in the trash, and still can't see.

With a childhood history of eye health complications and high far sightedness, I am very happy with how the doctors and staff take the time and care to make sure my prescription is 100% every time. The optical staff is through in filling of the prescription and have an awesome frame selection. They even help me keep my lenses from being too thick and heavy
The facility is nice. The receptionist and the folks who did the tests were all nice and very personable. I saw Christopher Deaton back in 2023 and he was not like the rest of the folks in the office. He came in was quick and dismissive. His words to me about a corneal scar were "nothing you could do for that" and was done. I suggest taking a print out of what your insurance shows you will pay for glasses and lenses. The lady who helped me with that part was similar to Mr Deaton in the rushed feeling. And I had to show her that my plan shows I will only pay set pricing for the blue light and other things and she was constantly telling me that the lab is the reason but when she spoke to someone behind the receptionist desk then the lady was able to accommodate my vision plans prices. Other than the two of them everyone else's customer service was wonderful.
I’m over this facility & their staff. Received an email stating I had an appointment-tried to call at 7:35-office opens at 8, got voicemail that they were closed till 7:30. Jumped through my self to get there only to find out appointment was for husband and had been cancelled cause doctor was out of town! Why send an email with my name in parentheses stating I have an appointment? And if that appointment was cancelled why send an email to be there. Their customer service sucks! Won’t be back…
Avoid this place like you avoid staring at the sun. I went in for an exam and computer glasses prescription at a specific distance of 43". In passing I mentioned I might need driving glasses and the doc said okay to wait a couple years. Back in the lobby, they quoted me an extraordinary $400+ AFTER INSURANCE for a single pair of glasses. I took my prescription to Walmart and got them for $150, all the same features. Waited 10 days, got my glasses...and they didn't work. York had given me a prescription for driving glasses. I had to wait for them to MAIL (from the 80's, I guess) the right prescription. Back to Walmart, waited another 10 days, got my new glasses and...WRONG AGAIN. Called York to ask and they said it was for 12-18" distance. Now I'm out $300 for two glasses I don't need. They won't reimburse me. They won't make me even one correct pair of glasses at no extra charge. They won't admit the first two incorrect prescriptions are their fault. They said I should have told Walmart the distance (b/c a doctor's prescription doesn't have all the pertinent info?) They said to tell Walmart they got it wrong and make me another with the new prescription—like they're not going to charge me AGAIN for a new prescription? No accountability, no customer care, no stepping up, fessing up, and fixing the problem, just blame someone else instead of providing an easy fix. Absolutely horrid and unprofessional behavior: just keep denying until the customer gives up and goes away. Well guess what York: HERE I AM.
