I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Sheila Garcia Santana. From the moment I began receiving care from her, she has consistently demonstrated an exceptional combination of knowledge, professionalism, compassion, and genuine concern for her patients. When you are dealing with something as important as your eyesight, you want a specialist who makes you feel confident that you are in the very best hands, and that is exactly how Dr. Garcia Santana makes me feel. She takes the time to listen, thoroughly explains what is happening with my eyes and my treatment options, and answers questions in a way that is clear and reassuring. I never feel rushed or like I’m just another patient on the schedule. What stands out most is the level of care and attention she provides. Her expertise as a retina specialist is outstanding, but her compassion and bedside manner are equally impressive. That combination is difficult to find. I am extremely grateful to have Dr. Sheila Garcia Santana caring for my vision. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone needing a retina specialist. She has earned my complete trust and my highest recommendation. Five stars truly aren’t enough!

Dr. Nicolas M. Beaupre is an extraordinary person and eye doctor. He is fantastic, thorough, very caring and empathetic. He displays professional skills of friendliness, great eye contact with patient, and natural smiley face. Time of service is consistent and excellent. The lady, his eye care assistant displays professional skills and traits. Nevertheless, the inside and outside environments were great. I must not forget and continue to thank him for curing my double vision problem in June, 2022. It has never reoccurred since then. All my treatment visits have been excellent, including the recent visit. I really appreciate him and his service.
The doctor was fine. No issues with him. However I don’t understand why I was given a 745 appointment when the office doesn’t even open until 8:00. I got to my appointment early at 7:30 and had to wait in my car for 30 minutes. My time is valuable as well.
I am submitting this review to clearly document the unacceptable treatment my mother and I received at this eye‑care facility. The level of disregard, lack of professionalism, and absence of basic patient respect was evident from the moment we walked in, and it continued throughout the visit. During our referral follow‑up, staff made it unmistakably clear that they did not value our time, our wellbeing, or our presence. Their demeanor toward my mother was inappropriate and disrespectful. They looked at her with irritation and acted as though she was a burden. No patient should ever be made to feel like an inconvenience. Even our first visit, while less severe, showed the same pattern: rushed care, no meaningful explanation, and a dismissive tone when asking if we had questions. It was obvious they did not want questions, did not want dialogue, and did not want to engage. The attitude conveyed was that they were “too good” for our business. The work culture appeared openly disengaged. Staff did not communicate wait times, did not set expectations, and did not acknowledge the excessive delays. We waited almost four hours for a specialist who spent less than five minutes with us. No apology. No update. No accountability. My time, and my mother’s was treated as irrelevant. To make matters worse, the facility seemed disorganized or severely understaffed. When I needed assistance, no one was available. I had to approach a random assistant that happened to be walking by for answers. Pricing was inconsistent and unexplained. Our first visit cost $80; the second was $100, with no justification for the increase. No one took the time to explain charges, expectations, or next steps. Transparency was nonexistent. Overall, this facility demonstrated a pattern of poor communication, dismissive behavior, and a complete lack of respect for patients. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the long wait, and no effort to provide clarity or compassion. The experience reflected a culture that prioritizes revenue over care and efficiency over humanity.I expect management to take these concerns seriously. The current environment is not acceptable for any medical practice, and no patient should be subjected to the level of disregard we experienced. If you value your time and money, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU.
I have always had good experiences here until now. The lady at the front desk told me that my insurance covered the optomap. I was surprised and made sure to confirm that with her, as I didn’t know this. I had already made driving arrangements for having my eyes dialated and had childcare. I went with the optomap because she was certain it was covered and made it sound like I should do that instead. Well after my appointment finished suddenly it wasn’t covered any more and I was forced to pay out of pocket for it. She claimed she never told me anything and they weren’t willing to work with me in any way. We couldn’t afford groceries for the week due to this unexpected cost, so I am clearly very upset. My entire family has to suffer because of this. They didn’t care at all. It is clearly more important to them to make sure they get extra money out of their patients and lie. There’s no reason to lie about it, I would be less upset if she had been honest that there was a mistake. Unfortunately I’ll have to find a new eye doctor now because I can’t afford to deal with unexpected costs, especially when the employees won’t be honest. I’m just so hurt that they would lie to me in this way and I wish they would just understand how badly they hurt my family and lost our trust.
