We see Dr. Joi Lucas, pulmonologist, for our son. She has been amazing with him! After our first visit, we felt extremely validated in our concerns and relieved to finally have answers. Every visit, she listens to our concerns, explains everything in detail, and takes thorough notes. She’s respectful, kind, and professional. The nurses have all been very good with our son, as well. When we’ve had questions, they have promptly responded in MyChart. We have only had one visit where we had to wait longer than normal and Dr. Lucas was sincerely apologetic. (Many doctors don’t care when they keep you waiting, so this was a nice acknowledgment of our time.) Would definitely recommend Dr. Lucas and the pulmonology department!

Dr.Osipoff is simply the BEST. I wouldn't change her as my daughter's Endocrinologist for anything. It is so refreshing to have a physician actually take the time to listen. She truly has a passion for what she does and it shows. I would also like to recognize the M.A Crystal her customer service was excellent. She made the triage and discharge process easy for myself and my daughter. She to explained everything to my understanding. Definitely 5 starts for the both of them. Highly recommend the hospital

Parking for this location is absolutely unacceptable. My son had a very important 9:00 AM orthopedic appointment, and I arrived on time. Instead of checking in, I spent over 40 minutes driving in circles because there was not a single parking space available. We missed the appointment entirely—not because we were late, but because LRH failed to provide adequate parking for the number of patients they schedule. I also called twice to inform the orthopedic department that we could not find parking and we’re running a little behind, I asked if they could accommodate us VIA a later appointment time or even telehealth but nope. The only option was to reschedule for next month, which I declined. How can you expect families to make it to their appointments when they can’t even park? This is poor planning and a complete lack of consideration for your patients. Missing an important appointment because of your facility’s parking situation is inexcusable. After this experience, I will be taking my son’s orthopedic care to a different healthcare system. I will not be returning to Lakeland Nemours, and I would not recommend this location to anyone. I don’t even have this problem at the lake Nona location. Lakeland sucks.

Dr Khory is the best ortho my daughter has seen! He explained everything and made it make sense even before I could ask. He redid the X-ray on the spot to make sure his hypothesis was correct or not. Gave her the PT we’d been asking for! Definitely a must

I was referred to this place for an ENT evaluation for my two-year-old daughter, who has recurrent ear infections and a speech delay. She does not allow anyone to touch anything related to her head, ears, nose, or mouth, which makes exams very difficult and usually requires extra patience and proper pediatric handling. Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience at Nemours Children’s Health, despite it being a facility that specializes in children. Yoliana Martínez, PA, briefly examined her ears and stated that they looked fine and that three ear infections between October and January were not significant. She recommended a re-evaluation in four months, at the time of her next audiology appointment. The ENT’s assessment was largely based on the audiology test, which I feel was also conducted improperly. One of the ears did not pass the tone because my daughter had an ear infection just two weeks prior. The audiologist noted that my daughter did not cooperate well during the test. While I understand that children can be difficult during exams, it is concerning that the audiologist proceeded with the test despite being informed about the recent ear infection — especially since I later learned that testing so soon after an infection can invalidate the results. Additionally, in a pediatric-specialized facility, staff should be fully trained to work with young children without simply documenting that the child “did not cooperate.” Even after explaining all of this to the ENT, her evaluation was still based on that questionable test result. I was very disappointed with the care provided by this specialist. As for the facility itself, it looks very nice. However, I believe the food truck located at the main entrance should be relocated. The loud generator noise and heavy smoke at the entrance are not appropriate for a medical facility, especially one that treats children with different health conditions. The first thing families encounter should not be smoke and excessive noise.
