Vision Quest Medical Center in Boise was fantastic. They quickly scheduled a same-day appointment to take care of a loose suture while I was visiting from out of town. The staff was friendly, professional, and provided excellent care. I’m very grateful for their prompt help and would highly recommend them.

I had a great experience from the first call for an appointment, to the friendly staff when I walked in and checked out. I was in and out shortly and was so impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of the doctor. Outstanding rating!!!!
How come I can only give 5 stars? How about a 10+ ! Dr. Jacob Mong and his staff are professionals, second to none. All the staff members care about all their patients at Vision Quest. I was treated professionally by all staff members. After having my eyes tested by a medical technician, I then had an eye exam and evaluation by Dr. Stephen T. Reinschmidt, OD. Dr. Reinschmit recommended Laser Cataract Eye Surgery, and I was a good candidate for Multifocal Lenses. I was set up with surgery dates. I wanted the eye surgeries back to back. The first surgery was set June 1, 2026, and the second June 2, 2026. The day of my first surgery, Dr. Jacob Mong greeted me with a big smile, and we had a great conversation before my surgery. "I told him I watched all his videos, including the one where he mentioned Egyptian cataract surgery." That's wild. He also went over what was going to take place in surgery. Surgery was over in no time. The next morning, I returned to have my left eye patch removed and examined. I surprised Dr. Jacob Mong and the Nurses. I could read the fine print on an alcohol pad package without glasses. Then surgery was performed on my right eye. I returned again the next day, Wednesday. Eye patch removal right eye, exam, and evaluation. This appointment was with Dr. Stephen T. Reinschmidt, OD. After my eye exam and evaluation, he stated my eyes are now better than 20/20, and my vision would improve more in the next few weeks. I can not control my excitement and joy. Before surgery, my left eye was completely cloudy, and the worst, the right, not much better. My cateract lenses were affected by medication in the past. I'm only 61 years old, and it happened too early. Everything was dull and off color with my vision. I had difficulty seeing my new boat fish finders, 12 inch screen size (size of a Tablet). I couldn't see my phone even with the font maxed out or the fuel gauge on the Denali during the day. My eyesight was poor, and I put off projects at home. That's not how I want my retirement. My wife suspended my driving privileges a month before surgery. No truck, no boat & no fishing. Now I can drive again. I will be taking out my new boat soon, but now I can see my fish finders, catch more fish, tie fish hook knots, and see clearly without glasses. Colors are brighter & more vivid. Whites are awesome. The color blue is amazing. The blue sky above blows me away. I'm now blessed to have my vision back. If you're concerned about your cateract eye surgery, Vision Quest is the answer. Dr. Jacob Mong is the Best Eye Surgeon in the Tresure Valley and in Idaho. Thank you for returning back my vision. Bill Wright
Dr Reinschmidt is knowledgeable, compassionate, and forward thinking. I’m so glad to have him guide me on this eye care journey. Today, I was also helped at the front desk; by Troy and Vanessa, tests were administered by Michael and Ella, and there was one more staff who helped me out (whose name I didn’t get)- all of the office staff at the Gage St office were kind, helpful, patient, and attentive. This office will take care of you and your eyes!

It looks so nice and natural and I can really see periferially much better. She is through & answers/ explains all questions. She's even helping me with my dry eyes. Thank you Dr.
